The Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Course (MBSR) is the world renowned 8-week course created by Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ph.D., a founder of the Stress Reduction Clinic in Massachusetts. He is internationally known for his work as a scientists, writer and meditation teacher engaged in bringing mindfulness into the mainstream of medicine and society.

Join me for 8 x 2 hour sessions and one half day retreat to experience learning and practicing together in a small community and safe environment.

You will explore:

  • what mindfulness is

  • how to cultivate awareness and get less caught up in mind chatter, negative thoughts, feelings and behavioural patterns

  • formal and informal mindfulness meditations and practices

  • stress reduction tools and techniques for daily use so that mindfulness becomes part of your life well after the course finishes

Week 1 - Introducing mindfulness
Week 2 - Perception and creative responding - handling stress
Week 3 - The pleasure and power of being present - living all your moments
Week 4 - The shadow of stress - how conditioning and perception shape our experience, patterns of reactivity to stress
Week 5 - Finding space for responding rather than reacting
Week 6 - Working with difficult situations - interpersonal mindfulness
Week 7 - Cultivating kindness to self and others
Week 8 - A new beginning - keeping mindfulness alive

Useful information:

  • All sessions, including the half day retreat will be held online via Zoom

  • You will receive a certificate of completion with the hours you’ve attended

  • Each session builds on each other so I recommend to attend all of them

  • I will be asking each applicant to complete an assessment form prior to joining to ensure this course is right for you and so you get the most out of it in your current situation

You will receive a refund of any course fees paid up to 14 days before the course starts. No refunds if the course is cancelled within 14 days of the start date. However, there is a possibility of transferring the booking to a future course.
