Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need any experience to start?
Not at all. Whether it’s mindfulness or Qigong, everyone starts exactly where they are. No flexibility, fitness, or prior practice needed.
Sitting still isn't easy for me when meditating - can Qigong help?
Yes, especially. If stillness feels hard, or even unsafe, Qigong offers a gentle, movement-based way in. It is a form of meditation, but in movement.
I'm not very flexible or "sporty" - is Qigong still for me?
Completely. Qigong isn’t about performance or flexibility. It’s gentle, slow, and meets your body exactly where it is. That’s why I love it.
What does "trauma-informed" mean, and are you a trauma healer?
No! I’m not a trauma healer or therapist, that’s very important to be clear about. Only a qualified traumatologist or trauma therapist can do that kind of work. My training helps me teach mindfulness and Qigong in a way that’s sensitive to how stress and trauma can show up in the body, so the space I create feels safer and more accessible. It’s about how I teach, not treatment.
Is this therapy?
No! Mindfulness and Qigong aren’t a replacement for therapy, and I’m not a therapist. Think of this as something that sits alongside your wellbeing, not instead of professional support if you need it.
Are sessions online or in person?
Both, depending on what you’re looking for. The MBSR course – group and private – run online; workshops and retreats take place in person in the stunning Algarve, Portugal.
What language are sessions in?
Online sessions are available in both English and Polish (I usually have both groups starting around the same time). In-person sessions are always in English.
How much does it cost?
It varies by course and format, so the best way to find out is to just ask. I’m always happy to walk you through the details.
Are payment plans available?
Yes, for certain circumstances. Just get in touch and we can discuss what might work for you.
How do I know which offering is right for me?
If you’re ever unsure, reach out and we can talk it through together. No pressure, just a conversation.
Do I need to commit to all 8 weeks of the MBSR course?
Ideally, yes. Each week builds on the last. But life gets in the way sometimes, and that’s okay. Reach out and we’ll figure out the best way forward together.
Who is a private MBSR suitable for?
Is it worse or better than the group course? Not better or worse – just different. My private clients are often people with freelance or non-standard schedules, who need a time that doesn’t fit the usual group slots, like early mornings. The core programme is the same either way, but a private course naturally gets tailored more closely to you.
I've already done your MBSR course so what's my next step?
My booster sessions are perfect for this. They’re designed for anyone who’s already done a course or workshop with me and wants to keep deepening their practice. Contact me to book it here.
